Free immunizations and information about other community resources available to St. Tammany Parish residents will be provided on the Mobile Community Information Center Bus.

The bus will make its first stop Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon at Northshore Harbor Center, 100 Harbor Center Blvd., near Slidell.

It is provided through a partnership between St. Tammany Parish government and the state Office of Public Health.

Future stops include Oct. 19 at Central Progressive Bank, 740 Brown's Switch Road, Slidell, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.; and Nov. 16 at the Lacombe post office, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Services include pneumonia and tetanus immunizations and referrals to community resources.

Flu shots will likely be available after Thanksgiving, according to parish spokeswoman Suzanne Parsons-Stymiest.

"We will provide these immunizations when available," she said.
