Ann Duplessis, A Champion For The People

Looking over the pass few years, our country, state and ciity have experienced tumultuous times with our economy, healthcare issues, housing, education, employment and crime. To no surprise, we have had a hardworking senator out on the forefront battling those issues day in and out.

Senator Ann Duplessis continues to serve us well as State Senator of the District 2. She gets up early every morning and pray for the well being of her beloved state and the district she serves. She studies the issues well and seeks guidance to operate in the best interest of her constituents. She proudly represents her district with honesty and integrity.

Having her as a senator is very important to our region, especially in the wake of rebuilding and restoring lives as a consequence of so many disasters.

"I appreciate the opportunity to serve the residents of Eastern New Orleans, Holy Cross, and the Lower Ninth Ward"

I know Ann, and I know she places her heart and soul into becoming the best senator of that district, many times enduring difficult decisions and even ridiculed for not supporting some positions, but she have been right on practically all of her decisions. Not withstanding her ability to keep a level head through high level negotiations, and her ability to reason with supporters and adversaries across party lines.

I believe she can be applauded for standing up for the right things, and taking charge at getting things done.

On Saturday, Oct 4, 2008 Senator Ann Duplessis and the District 2 Community Enhancement Corporation will celebrate with the Women On Assignment at the 2nd Annual Breast Cancer Health Expo and Luncheon at the Sheraton Galleria Hotel, at # 4 Galleria Blvd, Metairie, LA at 10am.
